I was honoured to serve the people of Northern Tasmania as Federal Member for Bass in Canberra.
One of the highlights of my period as a Member of Parliament was meeting with community groups, particularly those within the migrant and refugee communities.
It was during the course of this time that I first met with Rup. I was particularly impressed with the deep sense of community and service shown by many within his community, and Rup was a stand out leader.
Subsequently I was asked by Rup and his business partner Khadga to assist them with the legal work in the establishment of their new business.
It was so pleasing for me to see the sense of entrepreneurship and service coming through in the establishment of this business, being a business that will serve people with disability within Tasmania.
I wish Rup and Khadga the very best in their venture. I know that their hard work and care for this community will see them succeed.
